  • The LGBTQ Support Liaison (LSL)

    The LGBTQ Support Liaison (LSL) is a SFUSD certificated teacher who acts as a team member on Middle School Healthy School Teams or High School Health Promotion Committees. Liaisons receive a stipend for their work and attend regular professional development that includes discussions of policy, health awareness, procedures and education of programs specific to LGBTQ youth.

The LSL focuses on the promotion of health awareness events and the coordination of safe school activities including Respect and Violence Prevention, Gay Pride, and the Gay/Straight Alliance or Diversity Club. The LSL also provides drop-in sessions for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and promotes District LGBTQ Diversity curriculum.
