The School Health Programs Department supports
a series of programs and services that help each SFUSD school create
a healthy learning environment for youth. These
include:
- Asthma Project (pdf)

with moderate to severe asthma in 30 – 40
elementary schools
- Centers for Disease Control/Local HIV Prevention (pdf)
Educating students, staff and parents about sex and STI prevention,
including HIV infection
- Community-Based Organization Program
Providing
orientations for community-based organizations working on-site in
the schools
