The Office of School/Family Partnership (OSFP) believes that all parents want their children to succeed and are an asset to their child’s learning. Some parents may need specific strategies to help their children, and are eager to learn those strategies. Systemic obstacles to parent engagement can be removed through intentional efforts by the school. We want to ensure parents know they are welcome at the school and that there are many different ways to become involved.
To cement and evolve its work, SFUSD is now working on a Parent Engagement and Partnership Plan to create systemic, district-wide, consistent strategies in each of its schools and at the District level, to maximize partnerships between schools and their families. Contact us if you’d like to give input to this plan.
