Expulsion referrals are made by school sites when a student has violated the state education code. Expulsion referrals for 48915(c) violations are mandatory. Expulsion referrals may also be made for violations of state education code 48915(a), 48900, 48900.2, 48900.3, 48900.4, and 48900.7.
