The Student Support Services Department plans, implements, and evaluates the Tobacco Use Prevention Education program for grades 9-12. Program components include: planning process, school policy professional development, tobacco use prevention curriculum, intervention strategies, family/community involvement and positive alternatives to using tobacco, diversion and cessation programs. The program is coordinated by SSSD and implemented at school sites. It is funded by the California Department of Education, Office of Healthy Kids.
