What are some ways you eat healthy?
I try to eat as many greens as possible- lots of kale and whole grains. Kamet berry is my favorite. Also, I cook most of my own food. Family dinners are key.

How do you engage in physical activity?
Personally, I ski, hike, do yoga, and walk on the beach. In the classroom, I lead the kids in yoga. We also do Special Olympics- soccer in the fall and track and field in the spring. They love it!

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
I do deep breathing, take breaks for water, stretch, and make sure to laugh plenty.

What are some ways you eat healthy?
It’s an ongoing process about embracing good foods, eating a balanced diet, and avoiding processed foods.

How do you engage in physical activity?
I teach kindergarteners, so everything is kinesthetic—physical activity is woven into everything we do.

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
In class, we breathe in and then push out all our bad thoughts. We sing songs with motion and do energizers, which are little songs in which the kids learn opposites.

What are some ways you eat healthy?
When shopping, I spend a lot of time in the produce section. I like to cook with a minimum amount of ingredients and always make my food colorful. I like to have meals with something from each food group.

How do you engage in physical activity?
Personally, I go to the gym. I have a family membership to the YMCA and ran my first marathon almost two years ago.

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
I walk, exercise, and read.

What are some ways you eat healthy?
I watch my sugar and try to eliminate foods with white flour in them.

How do you engage in physical activity?
I like to dance. In the class, I do a lot of movement activities and yoga.

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
I do a stress release activity with the kids where they hold each finger and count to ten. Also, when the kids come in from lunch unable to focus, I play calming music, turn down the lights, and have them do a quiet writing exercise.

What are some ways you eat healthy?
I eat breakfast and make sure to keep a tub of oatmeal in a cabinet so I have energy to teach.

How do you engage in physical activity?
In the classroom, I add kinesthetics to my lessons. In math, the kids make angles with their bodies. Personally, I walk around Lake Merced.

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
In times of stress, I close my eyes and focus on breathing in and out. Exercise is a stress reliever for me.

What are some ways you eat healthy?
I am a vegan, so I don’t eat dairy or meats. I try to eat whole grains and no refined sugar. I also cook all of my meals at home.

How do you engage in physical activity?
I enjoy riding my bike, running, and exercising. In the classroom, I run with the kids, they get excited about that. We also do geometry as exercise.

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
Personally, I exercise. In class, we do yoga. After lunch when the kids come in stressed out, I put music on, instruct them to put their heads on their desks and do visualizations.

I only cook organic, well-balanced meals with lots of vegetables.

How do you engage in physical activity?
I enjoy walking, both on my own and with my kids in the park backing up to my school.

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
I like to listen to classical music. In class, I do yoga on the floor with the kids.

I eat fiber, fruits and vegetables. I like to look at the Harvest of the Month recipes and prepare them.

How do you engage in physical activity?
I enjoy walking on my own and also with the kids at school.

What are some of your stress reduction techniques?
At home I enjoy gardening and walking. At school, I enjoy networking with my coworkers and make sure to take my lunch break so I don’t get stressed out.
