SFUSD EXCEL AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS UPDATE ON GRANT APPLICATION - The final filing date for applications for both 21st CCLC and ASSETs is Friday, January 26, 2018.

The San Francisco Unified School District's ExCEL After School Programs Office will be applying for the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant for SFUSD eligible schools

The  21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Program and After School Safety and Enrichment Teen (ASSETs) Program Request for Applications (RFAs) for funding beginning in the 2017–18 state fiscal year has been released by the Expanded Learning Division (EXLD) of the California Department of Education (CDE).

The 21st CCLC funding is for elementary or middle school programs that support the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools and their families.

ASSETs funding is for high school programs that create incentives for establishing locally driven after school enrichment programs where partner schools and communities provide academic support and safe, constructive alternatives for high school pupils in the hours after the regular school day, and that support college and career readiness.

The 21st CCLC and ASSETs RFAs can be found on the CDE Funding and Fiscal Management Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/ba/cp/funding.asp. These will provide background and details of all the application requirements. The online application systems cited in the RFAs are not currently open, but will be shortly. Once these systems are available for you to apply, we will send an email notification and update our website.

The final filing date for applications for both 21st CCLC and ASSETs is Friday, January 26, 2018.

Please contact the CDE EXLD at 916-319-0923 if you have any questions.
