SPOTLIGHT  IN THE MISSION

SF International High School - Gratitude for the World

The morning after receiving the national election results, we felt disempowered and hopeless. How could a person who had said such hateful things be elected as a leader of a country? When we woke up that morning, we knew we had to do something in response. What could such a small group of people do to uplift their community?

We decided to create a space for creativity, community, and empathy. We knew that giving gratitude and sharing what makes us smile could offer some light for those who felt in a dark place. We wanted to give others the opportunity to contribute as well. We launched this project in an effort to show just how many things we have to be grateful for. We hope you can smile upon watching this video and that you can share one thing you are grateful for with someone. This could make their day.
